Did you buy it? I've told Macy's that the store should inform buyers that this is a disposable sofa, good for a year or less.

The warmth and elegance of The Bloomington Chateau makes us the preferred address for visitors to the Bloomington-Normal area. The sofas were extremely expensive but we considered them an investment. I said no, I wanted a store credit to get something else.

Chateau Lorraine

The sofas were extremely expensive but we considered them an investment. Leather is supposed to get better with age and last 2-3 times as long as upholstered furniture. Our couches certainly have not improved with age. The leather has worn thin and there are now multiple holes which a patch cannot take care of. The protective finish has also worn off the cushions. Couldn't even offer me a list of approved cleaners or conditioners--heaven forbid a leather furniture manufacturer actually carry their own products. Save your money and buy less expensive couches and than just replce them every few years. I definitely do not recommend Chateau D'Ax, better re-named Chateau D'Crap! I purchase an ivory leather sectionnal sofa 5 years ago. I love it, very confortable, the leather is good quality but you have to cover it under bright light. I live in Florida and the sun made the leather turn a little bit darker. Also be careful with jeans, they stain the leather. You have to clean it every 6 month with very little water and gentle soap, dry it immediatly and apply a special cream to keep it soft. Be careful when they deliver your pieces. My corner section is a little bit higher and firmer then the rest of the set.... Make sure if you take the extended warrenty to have everything they promess to be written bold and keep a copy handy.. Now we're having second thoughts. Did you buy it? How had it age? In 2002, we bought a Chateaux D'ax couch and chair from the Famous Barr department store. They are full grain leather and look amazing today no sagging, no fading, no creaking, etc. But based on the comments here, it seems like the manufacturer uses poor quality leather now. I purchased a Chateau d'hack Marsala leather sofa from Raymour and Flanigan. As soon as I received it I felt like one of the cushions was much softer than the other two. When I bought the sofa I also purchased the Platinum service agreement. Two weeks in, I called for service. The tech came out and looked at the sofa and within a minute told me there was nothing wrong with it. I told him that I can't sit on the cushion because it hurts my back. He called his office and advised that he had adjusted the cushions big lie and all was well. I waited another two weeks called Raymour and Flanigan and got a little loud. Even though R and F has a no return or exchange policy which I didn't know about, they exchanged the sofa. What I got in return is a sofa that has two smooth leather soft cushions and one rough pebble grained leather hard cushion. I give up, they don't know that I will be calling them on their platinum agreement for every little thing for the 5 year duration of the plan. Do not buy Chateau D'ax anything. Unfortunately the worst company I have ever purchased from. As for R and F, if they are going to exchange merchandise, just change the policy. I have a cream milan sofa that I've had for 4 years with 2 cats, one that weighs 20 lbs. As far as cleaning, treat your furniture as you do your leather car seats. The problem started becoming noticeable within a year. Frame and mechanism are covered for three years. Padding was only for one year. I've told Macy's that the store should inform buyers that this is a disposable sofa, good for a year or less. Now I'm turning to Chateau D'Ax. I just went to MACY'S and Bloomingdales to look for a sectional leather sofas. We use our sofa's a lot. And our dog pug always sleeps on it. With all your comments, I'm not sure which brand is the better buy. Of course the Chateau is a bit nicer. But the leather used is very much the same. I recently purchased from Macy's the 5 piece Natuzzi sectional called Andrea. The cushions on the recliner chairs are already getting soft after 2 months. In addition, one recliner was on a slant. When I looked underneath the recliner, I saw the wooden support going across was broken. This could have been damaged in transit, I do not know. I went back to Macy's and if the manager OKs it, I would like to purchase the Chateau D'Ax called Damon. It is a 3 piece sectional loveseat, couch and corner piece. Does anyone have any info on this set? We purchased a Chateau d'ax Marsal four piece leather furniture set from Raymour and Flanagan in March 2012, we also purchased the platinum protection plan. Within weeks, the back of the furniture and the cushions started fading. As the fading got worse, I called for service. I asked the reason it was fading so soon, they replied that it was very use, oil in our hair, etc. I responded that we do not sit or put our heads on the back of the chairs. They still stuck with their posititon that the fading was from normal wear and tear. I sent pictures and told them that the furniture must be defective because we had not used the furniture that much and we certainly don't come in contact with the back of the furniture. They offered a one time replacement under the protection agreement; however, I would no longer have the agreement. Finally, they sent a technician out to reseal it. Within days, it started to fade. I called and they offered to reseal it again. I said no, I wanted a store credit to get something else. Again, they said it would be a one time replacement with no protection agreement. Now, I am looking for an expert on furniture to ascertain whethe this furniture is defecture while I am within the one year manufacturer's warranty. If any one has any referrals please advise. I would never ever buy leather furniture froim Raymour and Flanigan again.!

Condos are slightly different than stick built homes because they have HOA fees and association rules. Even though R and F has a no return or exchange policy which I didn't el about, they exchanged the sofa. Some properties which appear for sale on this website may subsequently have sold and may no longer be available. As the fading got worse, I called for service. The majority of the residences within this community have a traditional driveway and idea setup. He called his office and advised that he had adjusted the cushions big lie and all was well. I give up, they don't know chateau bloomingdale I will be calling them on their platinum agreement for every little thing chateau bloomingdale the 5 year duration of the between.
